Summary

This article discusses the way information passes and kinds of information about publications which appeared in the "Głos Nauczycielski" paper during the period of 1921-1939. The information in the paper dealt with current, prospective and retrospective affairs and pertained to the kinds of publications issued by the "Nasza Księgarnia" publisher such as: school textbooks and methodological materials, literature for children and youth and also theatrical plays. Information contained in these pieces usually included: the authors name, the name of the publishing house, the year of issuing, number of pages, the price and oftentimes a rather detailed abstract with comments. These items appeared in regular columns such as: the Publisher's Review from Nasza Księgarnia and other publishers, these items could also appear on separate pages devoted to various announcements. The aim of these articles was to enable the potential readers to make their choices and purchasing decisions easier.
