W okresie od lipca do grudnia 2017 r. w internecie (na Facebooku oraz w popularnych internetowych serwisach dziennikarskich) widać było wzmożone zainteresowanie paskami informacyjnymi TVP Info. W tym publicznym dyskursie występują następujące wątki: problem prawdy w przekazie medialnym, funkcje przekazu (w tym jego propagandowość), styl pasków (schematyczność, błędy), ich autorstwo, mechanizmy tworzenia oraz skuteczność. Wypowiedzi poza funkcją poznawczą służą zabawie oraz budowaniu wspólnoty sprzeciwu (również politycznego). Pasek w jego drugim życiu występuje przeciw swemu twórcy: wyrwany z pierwotnego kontekstu, obnażony i wyśmiany kompromituje autora (jego skrywane cele i nieudolność). Dzięki ujęciu przekazu paskowego w cudzysłów zostaje też zdezawuowana zawarta w nim wizja świata (np. oceny bohaterów).
The period between July and December 2017 showed on the Internet an increased interest in TVP Info news tickers observed on Facebook and in popular online journalist services. The following topics appeared in the public discourse: the problem of truth in media coverage, the functions of a message (including its propaganda purposes), the style of news tickers (schematic character and errors), their authorship and their very mechanism of creation and efectiveness. The comments made, apart from the informative function, serve as entertainment and develop a community of those who object (build-ing also a political opposition). In its afterlife, the news ticker goes against its creator. The news ticker taken out of its primary context exposes and humiliates the authors, their hidden goals and inefciency. Due to the usage of quotation marks, the vision of the world as presented in the news ticker is devalued (e.g. assessment of heroes).
